2Hazard identification

Not classified as a hazardous chemical under OSHA HCS 2012 (29 CFR 1910.1200).

GHS classification
None
Signal word
None
Pictograms
None
Hazard statements
None
Precautionary statements
None required

Hazards not otherwise classified: the gel is slippery when spilled. Direct eye contact may cause temporary stinging until rinsed.

Unknown acute toxicity: a proprietary additive below 1% of the mixture has incompletely published acute-toxicity data. The mixture is not classified for acute toxicity.

3Composition / information on ingredients

Mixture. No ingredient is present at a concentration that requires disclosure under 29 CFR 1910.1200 Appendix D (classified health-hazard ingredients above the applicable cut-off, or that present a health risk below that cut-off).

4First-aid measures

Inhalation
Not an expected route of exposure. Move to fresh air if discomfort occurs.
Skin contact
Wash with water.
Eye contact
Rinse with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Ingestion
Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Call Poison Control or a doctor if you feel unwell.

Most important symptoms: temporary eye stinging if the product enters the eye. Indication of immediate medical attention: treat symptomatically. No specific antidote.

5Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media
Use media appropriate for the surrounding fire. The product itself does not burn.
Unsuitable extinguishing media
None known for this product.
Specific hazards
Water-based. Not flammable. Plastic packaging may burn in a surrounding fire and give off ordinary combustion products.
Protective equipment for fire-fighters
Wear equipment appropriate for the surrounding fire.

6Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: avoid walking on spilled gel (slip hazard). Environmental precautions: keep large spills out of storm drains. Methods for clean-up: scoop or wipe up, then rinse the residue with water and dry the surface.

7Handling and storage

Handling: use as an installation gel for window film and PPF. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands after use. Wipe up drips so floors are not slippery.

Storage: keep in the original closed container. Do not freeze. Keep out of direct sun and away from strong acids, strong alkalis, and bleach. Incompatible materials: strong acids, strong alkalis, and concentrated salts (these thin or break the gel).

8Exposure controls / personal protection

Occupational exposure limits: none apply to the product as supplied. No OSHA PEL or ACGIH TLV is established for this mixture.

Engineering controls: ordinary ventilation is adequate. Individual protection: no special PPE is required in normal use. Wear eye protection if splash into the eyes is reasonably likely. Wash hands after handling.

11Toxicological information

Likely routes of exposure: skin and eye contact during use. Inhalation is not reasonably expected. Ingestion is accidental only.

Symptoms: temporary stinging if the product enters the eyes. Skin contact may leave a slippery film until washed.

Delayed, immediate, and chronic effects from short- and long-term exposure: none expected from the product as supplied, other than the temporary eye effects noted above.

Numerical measures of toxicity: mixture oral and dermal ATE > 5,000 mg/kg. Not classified for acute toxicity.

Carcinogenicity: this product is not listed as a carcinogen by NTP, IARC, or OSHA.
